HVON has been created so that individuals with cognitive impairment due to ABI and TBI can reach their full potential within the community.
Founded by Margaret Lakidi, a professional Social Worker with extensive experience of working with ABI/TBI clients, support of leading Clinical Neuropsychologists HVON combines the respective professional value sets of Clinical Psychology and Social Work to develop a support service that always aims to exceed expectations.
Individually personally tailored Cognitive and Behavioural Rehabilitation strategies are employed to meet agreed client goals. We understand that goals are personally meaningful to the client in order to maximise well-being and independence, allowing clients to thrive in their own homes. Problem solving, organising daily routines and activities, communicating, assessing and managing risk are all processes that HVON can help the client work towards.
